4.0 Schools is a community of curious people — educators, entrepreneurs, and others — committed to driving change in education. This summer, we’re offering multiple opportunities to engage in our community.
Want to reimagine education?
Essentials is an introduction to the 4.0 community and the first stage of our programming. It is a day-long, hands on exploration of three skills: Empathy (designing solutions for actual users), Unbundling (taking problems apart to attack them at the core) and Prototyping (testing solutions through interaction and feedback from users). See a problem you want to solve?
The Lab Cohort is a three week intensive program to equip people passionate about specific problems with the skills to test solutions with real users. Through the cohort program, participants continue to practice 4.0’s core innovation skills, and apply them to the specific problem they’re working on. By the end of the cohort program, participants are prototyping new ideas in the field that address the problem they’ve identified. Learn more
Have an idea that solves a problem in education?
The Launch Program is designed for the early stage entrepreneur who has an idea for a new venture, school, or internal organization. Successful applicants have prototyped their idea, though they do not necessarily need to be incorporated or be generating revenue. During the Launch Program, participants’ ideas transform into nascent businesses through rapid prototyping, user testing, coaching from the 4.0 staff, and access to the greater 4.0 network of mentors. Additionally, entrepreneurs have access to marketing, legal, financial planning resources, as well as varied pitch opportunities. Learn more
